These photographs have been taken on treks and tours over the last ten years. I also have a gallery of photographs taken on Australian bushwalking trips.
Now relocated to Geocities.
We arrived in Calcutta on holi day, when the locals paint their own (and others) faces, and throw paint at any innocent passerby. Against advice, I ventured out, with this result.
We used zhos (yak / cow cross) to carry our gear. It was not wise to try to pass one on a bridge like this. The prayer flags would be appropriate!
K2 Base Camp (and me) seen from Broad Peak Base Camp on the Godwin Austen Glacier (29KB). The Gilkey Memorial is at the base of K2, about centre photo.
Relaxing at Paiju - back on solid ground and off the Baltoro Glacier (31KB) - photo taken by Sally Cameron-Stephen.
