Its just not happening...

This was only Tony's second match after recovering from a very nasty motorcycle accident. He wasn't shooting well by his pre-accident standards, and its clear that some expectation management was in order. I don't think he appreciated at the time that the prevailing wind conditions were affecting everyone's scores.

Sprung!

Nationals time, and you've allowed yourself to be collared to attend a wedding on the same weekend - not to mention the same city! As soon as you can, you make a tactful exit and you bolt for the range to find out what you've been missing... You're still in formals and plan to change ASAP, but you forget about the people with cameras who will record your appearance on the scene. Thanks to Dann for anchoring Tony long enough for this shot.

Well, sort of sprung... I asked Steve to grab my camera and snap me posing with my centrefire silhouette rifle, just after having used it in an F-class match (to see how it was performing - quite well as it turned out).

Fowl doings

It seems impossible that this should happen; targets when hit are supposed to get knocked off the stand. Cocky was still complaining hours later about this chicken having bounced up and landed back on the stand... albeit on its side.

While at the 2005 Bega prize shoot, I noticed this maned goose (aka wood duck) and 2 goslings foraging just through the range boundary fence.
