URL3: SOUTH AFRICAN SOLDIERS' ASSOCIATION. SEVENTH ANNUAL REUNION. The seventh annual reunion of soldiers who served in South Africa was held in Palace Court last night [29.12.1909]. There was an exceptionally large attendance, representatives of very many corps being present, and the chair was taken by Captain OCHILTREE, one of the vice-presidents of the South African Soldiers' Association, under whose auspices the function was held.
URL5: Capt. JLF OCHILTREE (honorary treasurer) and Mr. RA NANKIVELL (honorary secretary) are to be congratulated upon the large attendance which they secured for last night's initial [23.12.1902 returned South African Contingent soldiers'] re-union.

Goldfields Battalion, tendered a welcome social at the Grand Hotel to their comrades who have just returned from active service in South Africa. There were about 100 present, and the gathering, which was of a most enjoyable character, was presided over by Captain FINNERTY. ... the chairman proposed the toast of "Our Guests," coupled with the name of Captain OCHILTREE. .... Captain OCHILTREE, on rising to respond received an ovation. ... Sergeant CAMPBELL and Trooper PRYOR (Sixth Contingent) also acknowledged the toast.
