Special guests Bob Hodgson from Canberra on harmonica, and Julia Cains from Cowra on flute.Click for 8 pics Bush Dancers Weekend AwayBush Dancers Weekend Away 22-24 June 2012, Saturday Night dance at Lakesea Park in South Durras, Love 'Em and Leave 'Em, second shift.Special thanks to the musicians that came from Canberra down to the coast to play for the Saturday Night dance. And to Bob Hodgson on harmonica for single-handedly carrying the Friday Night dance. The musical styles ranged from Bush Dancing through Contra, Scottish, Irish Set Dancing, and Rag Time. The musicians showed their versatility, and virtuosity, in all these styles in a fast-moving dance program with little in the way of walk-throughs or other breaks. Very much appreciated. Circassian Circle Part 2. Thanks to the lovely local lady who took the video for us.

group performing on Sunday 25 September 2011, at Government House in
Yarralumla on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. It was a blustery day
so we moved from the lawns up on to a sheltered porch. A great line-up of musicians from the Bush Capital Band and the

A bumpy ride but gives the feeling of a great day. At the very end there is a snippet of the party after the performance at Government House. Too cold for the deck so we are all dancing around the fire in the downstairs family room at Aranda. Bush dancing, Irish Set Dancing, Contra Dancing (in the snippet taken from the end of the set and during one turn out when you reach the end), and old-time couples dances.
