Live plants may be food plants, textile plants such as cotton, decorative, or simply rare and exotic. In rare cases, plants (or their seeds) have been transported right across the Imperium, like the famous tree from Yggdrasil (Yggdrasil/Trojan Reach 0815) that can be found growing in the Imperial Palace on Capital.

The shipment of live plants should be refereed with care. Plants may be shipped in special containers, requiring only a refill of the nutrient supply, or may require constant hands-on treatment. Light, temperature, water (and/or other fluid supply) and atmosphere must all be carefully controlled. An insidious or corrosive atmosphere container may cause problems if breached.
Further possible problems include complications with quarantine regulations. Roll Law Level or less on 2D to check if the plants are allowed across the extrality line.
The referee may decide to throw in even more issues such as poisonous pollen, allergies, plants with triffid-like whips, etc. These should not be imposed arbitrarily, but run deliberately as part of an adventure scenario.
