New Zealand 2009

In February 2009 we travelled to New Zealand for the RMC Class of 73 Re-union and stayed for a fortnight touring the North and South Islands with two of our very good friends, Trev and Julie. We stayed at Lake Taupo first (see the photo of the Trout we caught), and visited around there including Rororua. Then we went to the Bay of Islands and visited Colin and Iris (see their websites at http://www.angelfire.com/co4/col_smith/ and http://smith-steensma.net/index.html ) after the re-union in Auckland. We then travelled to Queenstown and had a flight to Millford Sound and ferry ride. Fantastic! That is a MUST for every traveller to NZ. The next day we did the jet boat ride at Lake Te Nau and saw some of the Lord of the Rings movie locations. After that we travelled to Fox and Franz Joseph Glaciers, Greymouth and to Christchurch, then home.
