Here are some photos of my dive trip to the Great barrier Reef in October 2010. This was my 14th year in a row diving the Great Barrier Reef off Cairns, QLD and as usual it was fantastic diving. Like most years before I also stayed at the Travellers Oasis whilst in Cairns, which is probably the best backpacker hostel in Australia. I went diving with my mates Trevor and Matt, and we each had our own room at Travellers Oasis, see the pictures on page 4. Gabe and Kathy own/run the hostel and can also book diving trips for you at greatly reduced prices, plus other trips around Cairns. We also did the Skyrail and Kuranda railway trip this year as you can see by the pictures on pages 2 and 3.
The pics below are of the coral we dived around. We went with CDC, Cairns Dive Centre, and I have been with them 9 times before so can recommend them. We spent 4 days and 3 nights living out on the reef, doing 14 dives (including 2 night dives) on the Kangaroo Explorer. The crew were fantastic, really friendly and helpful, they all made our trip great.
