Comment = My husband's gggrandfather was named Martin Donges. My information lists his birthdate as October 11, 1830 in Darmstadt, Germany. His death was May 1, 1907. He came to the US when he was about 22 yrs old, married and had two daughters. He lost his wife early in life and in 1881 he and his daughter and son-in-law (Mary and Fred Schaeper) moved to Barton County, KS and then in the next year they moved to Barton County, MO. Sounds like they went to the wrong Barton County. Does any of this fit into you anestor story?
