Forrest is one of the most prestigius suburbs in Canberra, just a stone's throw from the national parliament, but it was a very muddy site before the Serbs took it on.

04-002  Karl George Matzek (1890-1983)

From 1967, Karl painted murals on the walls and ceiling. Austrian born, Karl studied at the Berlin Academy of Arts and came to Australia in 1958.
