In 1977 she married Peter and continued teaching primary level children for 8 years before having children..After leaving teaching she worked from home on a range of projects while rearing 3 children and recovering from a number of miscarriages and car accidents. These projects included starting and supervising a licensed preschool. During this time she completed a certificate course in Lay Preaching, and spent 15 years preaching in a variety of places. She wrote songs and poems, made art works and screen printed items, published 4 books and jointly owned and operated a printing business, bought and maintained rental properties, co-ordinated a CWSA group and developed an Art program for gifted children, bought and maintained rental properties and was on a number of voluntary committees. She returned to secondary teaching in 1995 teaching Art, visual merchandising, screen-printing and guitar and completed a Degree in Education (graduating in the top 5%) in 2000. In 2000 she emigrated to Australia where she is still teaching IT.
