My great great grandmother Amalia Auguste Johanne BRIESCHKE, who married Johann Freidrick THESSMAN, emigrated to NZ from Klein Jannewitz, Pommern in 1875 while her parents and some siblings emigrated to Chicago c1880.

The Lissinden's were Danish and went to fight in England where the name was changed to Lissington and then to Lessington. My Lissington ancestor then came to New Zealand.
