AUCTION OF THE BEGBIE COLLECTION - SEPT 24, 2022

AUCTION REPORT

The weather was kind, the offering stunning, the food terrific, and the bidding for the most part very spirited, as indicated by an 88% clearance rate. There were bargains aplenty for the discerning, while a few of the truly rare or exceptional rose to reasonable heights. Top price on the day was $1350 for Lot 71. One encouraging aspect was that all of the early literature bar one lot sold well, indicating more interest in history and provenance than we usually see at these auctions.

The passed-in items can be found at Lots 6, 14, 22, 32, 43, 47, 50, 62, 63, 66, 68 and in the literature Lot J.
