He m Chlotsinda dau of CHLOTHAIRE I. Alboin personally killed the Gepidae King Cunimund forcing his dau Rosamund to marry him. In accordance with Lombard custom Alboin forced Rosamund to drink from the skull of her slain father; but the result he didn’t expect was that she later arranged for him to be poisoned in 572 and then m his foster brother Hilmagis.
