Description |
A
rather obscure field in
Centaurus. NGC 5121 is a
reasonably bright galaxy (11.5
magnitude) 1.9' x 1.4' in size.
The planetary nebula Longmore 8
is 132x108" in size. Of
interest is an arc of blue
nebulosity to the left of the
planetary which may be an OIII
bow shock. There is also
integrated flux nebula in this
field.
The
outer structures around this
planetary nebula were discovered
by the Galactic Planetary Nebula
Halo Survey (GPNHS) team using
this image in May 2016
