Description |
Shapley
2 is one of the three planetary
nebulae in the Shapley
catalogue. It has a
photographic magnitude of 13.4 and is about
24" in diameter although
there are some outer OIII
structures visible. The
central star is magnitude 16.
The
possible outer halo around this
planetary nebula was discovered
by the Galactic Planetary Nebula
Halo Survey (GPNHS) team in July
2015 and possible OIII blobs in
June 2017.
