Description IC 4499 is the furthest south of the milky way globulars.  NGC 1841 is actually slightly more southerly but is believed to belong to the LMC.  At magnitude 10.1 and quite sparse it isn't that easy visually and was missed by John Herschel.  There is a lot of faint galactic cirrus in Apus and some of it is faintly visible in this image.
