IC
4499 is the furthest south of
the milky way globulars. NGC
1841 is actually slightly
more southerly but is believed
to belong to the LMC. At
magnitude 10.1 and quite sparse
it isn't that easy visually and
was missed by John
Herschel. There is a lot
of faint galactic cirrus in Apus
and some of it is faintly
visible in this image.
