Description |
This
object is a fine example of the
uncondensed type of globular
cluster and has a concentration
class of 12. It lies at
the end of a long dark nebula
that has been christened the
"dark doodad".
There is much dust in this area
and the cluster is somewhat
reddened as a consequence. The bright adjacent star is HD
107947 at magnitude 6.8.
