2002 Feb 21.79 - morning sky: After weeks of cloud, I finally managed my first image since the outburst! Despite fading to mag 5.9, it still had a 1 degree tail in 7x50s. The comet was in a rich part of Sagittarius near M55 (19h25m31.2s -28d39'26"). Exposure: 30 mins (15 x 120s)
2002 Jan 03 - Low in evening sky near delta Indii (brightest star, lower left). Exposure: 48 mins (32 x 90s). Light pollution gradient removed.
2001 Dec 11 - Comet is in the evening sky near kappa2 Scl (right of coma). A faint ion tail extends out of the frame at 1 o'clock and broad dust tail extends toward 2 o'clock. Exposure: 13 mins (13 x 60s)
