URL3: A roll of the names of warrant and non-commissioned officers of the [Sixth] contingent who had been recommended to receive pipes presented by Her Majesty Queen Alexandra was read out by the Premier, as follows - Regimental-Sergoont-major FH TRASK, Quartermaster-sergeant Thomas Paul VOLKMAN, Company-sergeant-major SPREADBOROUGH, Company-sergeant-major D WAUGH, Company-sergeant-major A JONES, Company-quartermaster-sergeant RA WHIPHAM, Company-quartermaster-sergeant TH DOYLE, Company-quartermaster-sergeant RL RENWICK, Sergeant William EDWARDS, Corporal D SHEEHAN, Corporpl JC NISBETT, Corporal J DURHAM, Corporal CJ CULLEN. Five of them being present - namely, VOLKMAN, SPREADBOROUGH, WHIPHAM, DOYLE and RENWICK, their pipes were presented to them by the Premier.
