Source:# 1262 John Gray MARTIN worked at a sawmill and married in Bundaberg Qld. after returning in 1902, family moved to Eumundi Qld. in 1907. WW1 AIF 368B 25Bn., wounded 4.7.1918 in the Battle of Hamel and subsequently given a medical discharge with severe sciatica returning to his wife, children and sawmill job in Eumundi until 1929 when they moved to Brisbane, died there 7.3.1948 and ashes buried in family memorial garden plot at Mt. Thompson Crematorium.
URL4: WW1 AIF 10th Reinforcement for 49Bn. transferred as Pte. 3681B 25Bn. in France 2.1.1918, a sawyer aged 37 in 1917 born in Brisbane Qld. next of kin wife at Eumindi Qld., 15 months active service in S.Africa, wounded in action in France 4.7.1918 returned to Aust. per 'D33' 20.11.1918 for discharge with severe sciatica, 1927 correspondence with Repatriation Commission Brisbane.

Thompson.
