B5204: labourer born 1879 Sydney NSW, Queen's South Africa medal and 2 clasps (CC & OFS) killed in action.
URL3: letter dated 21.6.1900 from Pte. DANS/DAVIS 1NSWMR, "had a rather severe fight at Hoet's Nek where young FV SMITH was killed ... seen to throw up his hands and fall from his horse breaking his neck ... on examination seen to have been shot through the body.
