B5172: next of kin in Tiaro Qld.
URL2: Privates MEREDITH, BATES, SMITH and Bugler EVA, four members of the Fighting Fifth Contingent, returned to Gympie yesterday [7.5.1902] looking hale and hearty notwithstanding the hard work and stiff fighting they experienced in South Africa. Malcolm MCGHIE and DALE, two other members of the Contingent from this district, are spending a few days in Brisbane.
