Source:# 933 served with AMC for 12 years after Boer War, WW1 6 ANMEF (AMC) to New Guinea in 1914, mentioned in a Special Garrison Order re the capture of KGS Komet during the Rabual actions. After his six month enlistment expired he re-enlisted in the AMC receiving as 4381 and embarked for Abbassia, eventually joining the BEF in France and achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant, discharged from the AIF in Sydney on 8.2.1920. Working as a Hospital Attendant at Liverpool Hospital in 1930. Died in 1945 at GRAYTHWAITE Red Cross Home, North Sydney and buried at Northern Suburbs Cemetery (Roman Catholic).
