URL3: TOONGABBIE - The returned soldiers from this township were Lance-Corporal G FRYER and Trooper ENRIGHT who were received on Friday night [7.6.1901] and publicly welcomed. A social party was held in the evening and on Saturday night a banquet was held in the Mechanics' Hall. Amongst those present were Troopers FRYER and ENRIGHT's returned comrades from the neighbouring townships of Glengarry, Walhalla and Cowarr. An address of welcome was presented to the guests.
