Description M13 is generally regarded as the best globular in the northern sky but would only rate about 5th or 6th when the southern globulars are taken into account.  It is still an impressive object though with many surrounding galaxies, the brightest being NGC 6207 and IC4617 toward the lower right.  At magnitude 5.8 and 23 arc minutes in diameter it is just visible to the naked eye on a dark clear night.
