| Description | NGC
6144 is only about 3 arcminutes
from Antares and approximately 1
degree from its bigger and
brighter neighbour, the globular
M4. The apparent magnitude is
9.63 and the diameter is about
1.8 arcminutes. NGC 6144 is
partially obscured by the
reflection nebula surrounding
Antares. The bands in the image
are due to light interference
from Antares.
