Exposure Details This is a LRGB image with Luminance = 260 minutes and Red = Green = Blue =60 Minutes using Astrodon 3nm filters. Luminance was unbinned and everything else was binned 2x2

 

Description NGC 1049 is the brightest globular cluster in the Fornax dwarf galaxy. Five other fainter clusters have been identified. NGC 1049 is 24" across and has an apparent magnitude of 12.9.  One of the other clusters (Fornax 6) can be seen to the left
