Description NGC 7793 is a member of the Sculptor group (which includes NGC 55 and NGC 253).  It was discovered by James Dunlop in 1826.  It's about 12.7 million light years away and magnitude 10.  It is a flocculent spiral galaxy having poorly defined spiral arms.
