Descriptions
- Portable medical scanner, Computer medical scanner
- As per MT's Imperial Encyclopedia.
- Automated medikit
- A portable computerised diagnostic and treatment device for first-aid use.
Combines the facilities of a computer medical scanner with equipment to administer medical drugs. Limited to first-aid use only, attempting to keep patient alive until transfer to a hospital. Used the same way as a scanner, but the device will inject the proper drugs as well without assistance from the operator (correctly diagnoses on a 2D roll of 4+).
"Low" and "Depleted" lights warn that resupply is required (available on any planet of TL 9+). "Trauma" light indicates a serious illness, and the patient must see a doctor immediately. Batteries can be recharged aboard ship in 8 hours. Can usually treat up to 10 seriously injured people before resupply is necessary.
