"Jeff's SevenSimpleSteps
® Way"

Jeff Mordkowitz

<See the video recording>

We enjoyed meeting Jeff, to explore The SevenSimpleSteps® way ...

Step 1: Look for Differences Between Your Maps and Their Territories.
“Your Map is Not the Territory”

Step 2: Index Your Nouns.
Look for differences.

Step 3: Date Them, Too.
Look for change.

Step 4: Make Friends With “Etc.”
What has been left out?

Step 5: If You're Not Under Water, Don't Hold Your Breath.
Non-verbal awareness and allow your breath to flow freely

Step 6: Visualize Your Way Through the Day.
Bring a much richer structure of possibilities
to your consciousness and avoid identification

Step 7: Begin Again2 From the Beginning1. “Repeat” the above steps in a spiral manner

Jeff Mordkowitz developed his unique approach through a lifetime of learning and teaching, beginning with a degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, where he also taught for the karate club as a black belt instructor. His education continued at the Institute of General Semantics (where he served as Director and President) and through the ongoing practice of Sensory Awareness.
During his non-working hours, Jeff enjoys life with his family, listening to and making music, reading and experiencing nature.

The SevenSimpleSteps® Way

 Note for participants:
Jeff suggests that we “bring twelve (12) or more plain, similarly-coloured toothpicks (wood or bamboo with no flags or cocktail foil). The neuro-muscular reinforcement from their manipulation increases retention and internalization of the demonstration” For those of us with big fingers or a lack of toothpicks, tongue depressors (popsicle / icecream sticks) might also work.

When:
9am Saturday 14th June (Sydney time), 7pm Friday 13th June (US Eastern time).
Logon after 9:00 am for a chat with others and a 9:20 am seminar start. We have a little break along the way, and end around 12 noon.

Where:
 by Zoom: <See the video recording>

Cost: Free for Zoom participants.

Reference:
* Four-dimensional cubes
* Take a little "walk down Memory Lane" with beard and moustache, third from our right: 1983 Summer Seminar ...
