This topic pertains to society. Individuals develop political convictions and party allegiance. I share the human experience that underlies political beliefs.

I have participated actively in two political organisations. As a result I observed that the ideals promoted by a party varied significantly from actual involvement on the ground.

Initially I was part of the Greens, which is registered in the ACT. During my time with the Greens, I realised that feminism took precedence over press freedom!

Subsequently, I joined the Socialist Alliance--which is not registered in this territory. It felt like a competition for power, akin to king of the hill/mountain/castle. The leadership of Socialist Alliance were dismissive of ordinary members!

The previous tests had agreed that I was a socialist. So I also took this quiz. Which found me to be social democrat.

Conclusion

Political positions can be laid on a spectrum. Two such axes can form a map. On this, social democracy falls in the middle of the left.
