URL4: BALLARAT. A mural tablet, elected to the memory of Ballarat Collegians, who fell to the South African war, was unveiled by the principal (Mr. John GARBUTT MA) at the college on Wednesday [8.4.1903]. The tablet, which was provided by the old boys' committee, bears the following inscription. - "In memory of old collegians, who died in the war in South Africa, 1890-1902 - Lieutenant A GILPIN, Surgeon-Lieutenant HA PALMER, Sergeant A VAUGHAN, Private TB FOSTER. Their duty done, they rest with God."
