Murray: Corporal 17.2.1900 Sergeant 21.7.1900, slightly wounded at Koster R. 22.7.1901.

B5172: c/- South Brisbane Qld.
Source:# 1140 cable received by Major KOCH Moreton Regt. stating that his son, Lieut. FBT KOCH and Mr. Norman TOWNLEY, son of Captain TOWNLEY chairman of the PSB, have received commissions in S. Africa in the Australian Commonwealth Regt. KOCH left Queensland with the Third Contingent and served with that regiment in Rhodesia and the Transvaal and in operations in the ORC and Cape Colony being wounded at Koster River. Both officers left by the Britannic in September 1900.
