NSW BDMs: MCMAUGH Athelstan Macleay 1880 birth registered at Macleay River NSW, father Hugh Augustus mother Mary.
URL2: Obituary. Mrs. (sic) Athelstan Macleay MCMAUGH (59), whose death occurred recently in the Parramntta District Hospital, had been living with his brother, Mr. CC MCMAUGH, of Rydalmere Avenue, Parramatta. He served with distinction in the Boer War and also in the Great War, after which he was appointed Area Officer at Mosman. Later he returned to the Tramway Department and became a ticket inspector. His father, Mr. HA MCMAUGH, was a son of one of the original pioneers of the Macleay River.
