Murray: Sergeant, severely wounded 19.7.1900 at Palmietfontein, invalided to Australia arrived 23.7.1901.

URL4: The Imperial authorities have granted pensions to the undermentioned South Australian soldiers who served with various contingents in South Africa during the Boer war - Lieutenant FERGUSON (Fourth Contingent), 3/ per day from December 1, 1901, for two years; Lieutenant DEMPSEY (Third Contingent), £35 per annum for two years from July 3, 1901; Troopers PRYOR (Fifth Contingent), SOBELS (Sixth Contingent), WELLINGTON (Fifth Contingent), WHITINGTON (Sixth Contingent), 1/6 per day for 12 months (conditional); Sergeant PROSSER (Fourth Contingent), 3/ per day for life; Trooper John RICHARDS (South African Light Horse), 1/3 per day for life; Trooper MAYFIELD 1/3, and Trooper RICHARDSON 1/, for life; Trooper WALLACE, 1/ for 18 months; Trooper MAGOR, 1/6 for 12 months. The last four belonged to the Fourth Contingent. A list of other local pensioners was published some time ago.
