URL3: died at Pretoria of enteric, grandparents from Strathalbyn where spent boyhood before moving to Natimuk with parents, assistant veterinary surgeon and shoeing smith when not active, took bullets through water bottle and sleeve but not hit, died in hospital in Pretoria.
URL4: To-day [11.1.1901] the Lieutenant-Governor received a cablegram from South Africa announcing that Shoeing-smith TH RAGGATT, of the Third (Bushmen's) Contingent, died at Pretoria on 3.1.1901 of enteric fever. He was a single man, and hailed from Natimuk.
