Morgan, elbow permanently injured, a bushman aged 26 born at Ferntree Gully Vic. next of kin friend in Sydney NSW 322 days foreign service, 1952 correspondence from BLACK James McNair in Yeoville Johannesburg S. Africa who served as BLAIR James with 3QMI, born 1871 in Melbourne Vic. and enlisted from Mt. Morgan Qld., brother in Mareeba Qld., wounded in left arm and horse killed near Elando R., had surgery on veldt by Col. Doctor IY Hospital then transferred by ox-wagon to hospital in No2 Staats Model School Pretoria for another operation, transferred over some weeks by hospital train to Woodstock Hospital, offered evacuation to Netley Eng. but chose Brisbane Qld.
