URL1: stockman/station hand aged 22 born in Maryborough Qld., next of kin mother in Cunnamulla, 4th Qld. Contingent, repatriated to Aust. from S. Africa in 1907. URL2: photo #53. Source:# 1426 AE RAYMOND served in WW1 as 191 Cpl.'A' Sqn. 7LHRegt. He was seriously wounded at Gallipoli and was evacuated to Malta and then to England. Enlisted 23.10.1914 & RTA 22.1.1917. He died in the Repatriation Hospital at Concorde NSW on 19.7.1956. He was issued with a Queen's South Africa Medal and 5 clasps (CC OFS Tvl SA01 & SA02). He served in the 4th QIB from 15.6.1900. to 6.7.1901. His daughter applied for his ANZAC

AE RAYMOND, 1967 correspondence from daughter says "my late father was made a King's Corporal in the Boer War when he served with the Queensland Imperial Bushmen".
