URL2: 3QMI Doyle's Scouts and on Sir Walter Kitchener's staff, awarded Distinguished Service Order, Queen's & King's South Africa medals with 6 clasps, joined Finance Dept. of Pretoria, married in Pretoria Cathedral in 1911.
Source:# 1140 cable received by Major KOCH Moreton Regt. stating that his son, Lieut. FBT KOCH and Mr. Norman TOWNLEY, son of Captain TOWNLEY chairman of the PSB, have received commissions in S. Africa in the Australian Commonwealth Regt. Lieut. TOWNLEY served with the Third Contingent and was in the engagement at Elands River, both officers left by the Britannic in September 1900.
