The memorial bears the inscription - "In memory of our soldiers who fell in the Boer war, 1899—1902." The names already inscribed are - Pte. MW ATKINSON, Pte. E GREENWOOD, Pte. H LAMB, Pte. J RANKIN and Pte. AH WILSON, all of Sale.
