URL7: A cable message was received from Cape Town yesterday [26.7.1901] by the Lieutenant Governor, stating that Sergeant AGK BUCKINGHAM of the fifth contingent, had been killed in action at Rhenoster Kop on 24.7.1901. 24 Sergeant BUCKINGHAM, who was a son of Mr. James BUCKINGHAM of Yea, left Victoria with the second contingent and was drafted to the fifth contingent on it's arrival in South Africa.
