Source:# 1299 Thomas Henry COX married Mary Catherine LYONS in 1916 after he returned from the Boer War. They spent most of their life in Brisbane where he worked for the 'Truth' newspaper. His 1950 funeral notice says he was in the AIF in WW1 and his daughter (now 92 years old) also says that he was in WW1, she thought in the 2nd Light Horse but not confirmed.
URL3: Funeral Notice - COX Thomas H, the relatives and friends of Thomas Henry Cox, of Lamington Street New Farm, late Boer War Veteran and First AIF, are invited to attend his Funeral, to leave St Patrick's Church, Valley this (Friday 19.5.1950) forenoon, at 9 o'clock, for Toowong Cemetery Mass at 6.30 am.
