Sergeant DUMBRELL, formerly a police constable, enlisted in Rockhampton on the 18th of September 1915, and left Australia on the 16th of May 1916, and went into action on the 24th of November of the same year. He was sent from France to England on the 1st of September 1917, as a lewis-gun instructor and had charge of a training battalion.
