URL3: A BRUNSWICK SOLDIER WELCOMED AT YARRAGON. The residents of Yarragon recently tendered a welcome-home social to their returned citizen soldiers from South Africa. Those in whose honour the social was tendered were Privates RB PETERS (2nd contingent), late of Brunswick, and son of Mr. Brooks PETERS of the Victoria Pottery company, G BELIMER and A GEARY (Bushmen), and H FISHER (2nd Queenslanders).
URL4: YARRAGON - Four soldiers who have returned from South Africa - Privates RB PETERS, G BELLMER, A GEARY and WS FISHER - were were welcomed here on Monday evening [19.6.1901]. A social and dance were held at the Mechanics' Institute, and, not withstanding the bad weather, there was a very large attendance. A medal with a suitable inscription, was presented to each of the men.
