Source:# 643 Lt. Colonel, a gentleman from Toowoomba Qld., WW1 5th Reinforcements 9Bn. AIF embarked 4.1915, returned to Aust. 9.1915 and died 8.5.1916 aged 47, buried in Toowong Cemetery.

B4418: returned per 'Orient' arrived Brisbane 16.1.1901, hospitalised in Osfontein in 3.1900 with dislocated shoulder.

URL10: BAILEY. In sad and loving memory of our dear brother, Colonel H BAILEY VD who died 8.5.1916, aged 46 years. He served his King and country well, twice in South Africa, also in this great war. He had an unblemished career. A brave soldier who tried to do his best; Deeply mourned, but he is now at rest. Inserted by his loving sisters and brothers.
