URL2: BRISBANE, January 15 [1902]. The Federal Defence Office has notified the Queensland military authorities that the appointment of Lieut. BERRY to the command of the Queensland portion of the [Federal] contingent with the local rank of captain, and of Lieuts. GREEN, WHITE, WOODCOCK and MUNRO to be lieutenants has been approved on probation.
