Source:# 1451 WW1 enlisted 10.9.1915 at age 46, served with 1 Aust. Remount Unit, returned June 1916 on account of rheumatism and bad teeth. Died Macleod (Vic.) Sanatorium "general paralysis of the insane and exhaustion" on 26.8.1919.

URL4: Mr. Harry GRIFITHS, a member of Cameron's Scouts, and who has done good service in South Africa, returned to Wangaratta on Monday night [17.6.1901], and was met at the statiqn by Messrs. VALLENDER, FERGUSON, STEPHENSON and several others. Mr. GRIFFITHS is paying a visit to Mr. Bob STEPHENSON t Laceby. His many friends are pleased to welcome him back to the district and to congratulate him on his safe return from the war. As he passed through Benalla, Mr GRIFFITHS was met at the railway station by several of his friends and was warmly congratulated on his safe return.
