B5207: veterinary surgeon aged 24 from Outtrim Vic., NSWIB.
URL1: sailed from Port Natal for Aust. aboard the 'Britannic' 6.7.1902.
URL2: Mr Estevan BARBETA, of Melbourne, Veterinary Lieutenant of the New South Wales Imperial Bushmen, is about to return to South Africa as Veterinary-Captain of the New South Wales contribution to the Commonwealth contingent. Mr. BARBETA is a graduate of the Melbourne Veterinary College, and had charge of the horses of General BABBINGTON's column during the last campaign. As galloper to Colonel MACKAY he did admirable service, and received special praise from headquarters. Owing to enteric he was invalided home but his patriotic spirit is again predominant.
