Source:# 1048 Boer War diary, WW1 AIF 3180 5LH and died in 1925 en route from Torrens Creek to the Hughenden Hospital, buried in Hughenden cemetery Qld.
URL2: born 1871 in Eng. a merchant marine trainee until disembarking in Aust. and moving to N. Qld., enlisted for Boer War in 1899, photo and diary transcription, also served in WW1 returning to become a soldier settler in Qld., died in 1925 aged 54.
