Name of the Imperial strike cruiser which made first contact with the Islands Clusters in the centre of the Great Rift.
The Eldorado misjumped into the center of the Great Rift in 986, near the end of the Third Frontier War. The crew was surprised to discover two subsectors inhabited by Terrans using sleeper ships . The Eldorado eventually returned to the Imperium with the news. The IISS has worked with the individual worlds since then.
